The papers in this volume, brought together as a tribute to Dr Joan J. Taylor, reflect the specialties, interests and achievements of its honorand, and particularly the contribution she has made to the researching and teaching of prehistory at the University of Liverpool. The contributions, which focus mainly on the British Isles but also include papers on international subjects ranging from Sweden to New Zealand, are divided into sections on World Prehistory, Artefact Studies (including a section dedicated to British Bronze Age goldwork), and Museums, Education and Archaeological Practice.
