Archaeology of Roman Britain

Series editors: Edward Biddulph (Oxford Archaeology), Martin Pitts (Exeter)

Roman Britain presents a dynamic and exciting field of study, with an abundance of data amenable to multi-disciplinary approaches, ‘big data’ studies, the application of theoretical approaches, and a variety of visually stimulating artefacts and reconstructions that speak to our own age in a remarkably direct way. This peer-reviewed sub-series considers submissions for publication relating to the Roman province of Britannia, spanning a broad period from the late Iron Age through to post-Roman Britain (roughly from the 1st century BC to the 5th century AD), and also encompassing studies that examine the interaction between the British Isles, the nearby Continent, and other parts of the connected Roman empire.
