This book derives from a seminar series held at the Oxford University Institute of Archaeology in 2003-2004 and a second brief series in spring 2005. The idea was to bring the students together with academic and professional archaeologists engaged indoing interesting work in landscape archaeology, who could present recent thinking about ancient landscapes from a variety of perspectives, using various approaches, and with a number of different aims.
