Duos Nuraghes – A Bronze Age Settlement in Sardinia

Although the Nuragic civilization of Middle Bronze Age Sardinia has been well documented, the research so far has been focused on elite centres with their monumental conical dry-stone towerhouses. The excavations at Duos Nuraghes were undertaken toshedmore light on non-elite settlements and to examine the life of ordinary people who inhabited the island in the Bronze and Iron Ages. This book is the first of two volumes and is reporting the findings from nine seasons. A sufficient number of ofstructural deposits was excavated, enabling a reconstruction of the settlement’s exceptionally long history which spanned some 2800 years, from the Middle Bronze Age to the early medieval period.
