REVIEW
‘…descriptive and visually impressive…Zazzaro’s valuable contribution is a useful extension of developing knowledge about the Eritrean coast. Regional experts, including Eritrean archaeologists and other scholars of ancient global connections, will find that this monograph clarifies the character of early material finds by archaeologists and interprets them in the context of new investigations along the southern Red Sea coast of Africa.’ Jonathan Walz, Azania: Archaeological Research in Africa, 50:3, 2015
